We build one account that runs from quote to ledger

Invoice Crowd is a web application for people who send proposals and estimates, bill for the work, and then have to account for it. All of that happens in one place, on one login, without a separate bookkeeping tool underneath it.

  • Proposals through to the ledger
  • Nothing to install or update
  • 30-day free trial

What is inside

What Invoice Crowd is, and how it gets made

Two things are worth saying on an about page. What the software actually does, and the rules we hold ourselves to while adding to it.

What we build

One account, from the first quote to the year end

The Proposals screen in Invoice Crowd, listing sent proposals with their status, customer and value

Work you win and work you bill

Proposals and estimates go out priced, with optional lines the client can accept or decline and quantities they can change. An approved estimate becomes an invoice without being retyped, and the invoice carries the payment methods you connected. The document a client signs is the document that gets billed.

  • Priced proposals with e-signature
  • Optional items the client accepts or declines
  • Approved estimates convert straight to invoices
How the proposal builder works
The Chart of Accounts in Invoice Crowd, with accounts numbered and grouped by type

Books that keep themselves current

Underneath the billing there is a real double-entry ledger, not a revenue chart. A chart of 184 accounts arrives already numbered, invoices and expenses post into it as they happen, and the trial balance, profit and loss and balance sheet are drawn from those postings rather than assembled at year end.

  • 184 accounts ship with the chart
  • General ledger, journals and opening balances
  • Statements an accountant can work from

How we build it

The rules that decide what gets built

Fewer tools, not more subscriptions

The reason quoting, billing and accounting sit in one product is that splitting them is where small businesses lose time. Every feature is judged on whether it removes a hand-off, an export or a second monthly bill, and the accounting is included on the plan rather than sold as a bookkeeping add-on.

  • One subscription covers quoting through to the ledger
  • No second bookkeeping tool to reconcile against
  • A free forever plan with unlimited invoices

We publish the roadmap in the open

Everything planned, in progress and already released sits on a roadmap that anyone can read without an account. The documentation is open on the same terms, a support launcher is on every page of this site, and the reviews further down are reproduced as customers wrote them, most of them on Trustpilot, Capterra and G2.

  • A public roadmap, not a private backlog
  • Documentation open before you sign up
  • Reviews quoted in full, not edited down

What the product argues for

Four decisions that shape everything else

An about page is easy to write and hard to prove. These four are visible in the software itself, on the same plan, with nothing extra to buy.

  • Quoting through to the ledger

Proposals, estimates, invoices, payments, expenses and a double-entry ledger run from one sign-in, so no figure has to be carried by hand between two systems.

  • Documents that look like the sender

Business profiles hold their own logo, colors, templates and books, so somebody running two companies is not paying for two subscriptions.

  • Getting paid is part of the job

PayPal, Stripe, Razorpay, Square, Payoneer, Braintree, Authorize.net, Airwallex, GoCardless, PayFast, PayTabs, Telr, PhonePe and M-Pesa attach to documents you already send, instead of living in a separate checkout.

  • A border should not need a workaround

Bill a client in the currency they work in and still read every statement in your own, with GST-enabled invoices and a GST filing report where those apply.

Questions

About Invoice Crowd, answered

What does Invoice Crowd actually do?

It handles the commercial side of a small business end to end: proposals and estimates with e-signature, invoices and recurring invoices, payments through 10+ gateways, expenses, and a double-entry ledger with statements. Everything runs in a browser, on one login, with nothing to install.

Who is Invoice Crowd built for?

Freelancers, solo operators, agencies and small businesses that quote for work before they bill for it. It suits people who currently run a billing tool and a bookkeeping tool side by side, and anyone invoicing under more than one business name.

Is it a web app or something I install?

It runs in the browser at apps.invoicecrowd.com, so there is nothing to download and nothing to keep updated. Sign in from any computer and the same account is waiting. Your documents, customers and ledger belong to the account rather than to one machine.

What does it cost, and is there a free option?

Paid plans are SOLO at $10, PRO at $15, TEAM at $20 and BUSINESS at $30 a month, cheaper billed annually, each opening with a 30-day trial that needs no card. There is also a free forever plan with unlimited invoices, one business profile and five customers.

How do I get help or ask for a feature?

Documentation is at doc.invoicecrowd.com and a support launcher is on every page of this site. Feature requests go the same way, and the public roadmap shows what is planned and what has shipped. The contact page lists which route to use for support, sales, billing or partnerships.

Judge the product, not the about page

The clearest thing we can say about how we work is sitting inside the app. Open an account and take one proposal all the way through to the ledger.

  • 30 days free, no card taken
  • There is a free forever tier too
  • Nothing to install, it runs in a browser
